Humor is a great ‘balancer’ when life gets tough. My aunt is in the midst of a 30-day hospital stay as she fights leukemia. Below is a posting from her online guestbook that I want to share with you. It brings much-needed laughter in the midst of a hard journey. Maybe you also could use some laughter in the midst of your journey.
“Thoughts to consider……. A new Publix Supermarket opened in Pinellas Park, Florida. It has an automatic water mister to keep the produce fresh. Just before it goes on, you hear the distant sound of thunder and the smell of fresh rain. When you pass the milk cases, you hear cows mooing and you experience the scent of fresh cut hay. In the meat department there is the aroma of charcoal grilled steaks and brats. In the liquor department, the fresh, clean, crisp smell of tapped Miller Lite. When you approach the egg case, you hear hens cluck and cackle and the air is filled with the pleasing aroma of bacon and eggs frying. The bread department features the tantalizing smell of fresh baked bread & cookies. I don’t buy toilet paper in the Publix.”

Isn’t that great?! It has nothing to do with anything that my aunt is walking, but it is a great stress-releaser in the midst of her battle. May we always find laughter in the midst of our journeys.

How true that humor is a life balancer. It is also healing! If we can just find something to laugh about each day and share that laughter with others, life’s hardships would be lessened.
I love your blog and am so glad I stumbled upon it. Keep “impacting” others!
